A Letter From Pastor Carlos.
heY CHurch,
I wanted to take some time to say how grateful I am for all of you for coming out and participating in Frontier Fest. I truly believe that this was the best one yet! And that’s all because of You. One of the prayer requests that I challenged us with was to pray for our neighborhood and the people who live there. It’s very clear that God answered those prayers. One neighbor said this, “I can’t believe that there is a group of people like this here. It’s a breathe of fresh air”. Another neighbor said, “It’s been so refreshing to see such a lively group of young people here. It’s really cool to see”. I share this because I want you to know that your time, sacrifice, and PRESENCE is being felt in our community.
I walked away really grateful to be apart of this community. My encouragement toward you is to take some part of what we did and bring it to your neighborhood. It might not involve a bounce house or snow cones, but it may be sharing a meal or doing something fun with your neighbors so that they feel your presence. Remember, we are the hands and feet of Christ, and God makes his appeal to the world through us. So when you show up, you bring the presence of God with you! So go and make Des Moines the most joyful city in America.
Love you all!
