Church Family,
We will be gathering tomorrow night at 6:30pm for urgent prayer at the church building. Our dear friends, Josh and Lauren Benton (and their 18 month old daughter, Birdie) are going through an unimaginable heartache and we want to gather around them as the Body of Christ.
Here’s what is going on: last Thursday, Lauren was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia at 25.2 weeks pregnant. She gave birth unexpectedly to their sweet daughter, Faye Ryan Benton, at 25.5 weeks this past Monday, weighting 1lb 2oz. Today, Faye had a brain scan that registered a severe brain bleed, and Josh and Lauren have chosen to honor the life God has given her and will help her fight hard in the days ahead. The family is heading together to Iowa City, though Lauren is being readmitted for her blood pressure.
The Bentons have been part of the Frontier Family for this last year, and they are precious friends to many in our church. Whether you know them OR you have a passion for intercessory prayer, let’s gather at Frontier Church tomorrow evening at 6:30pm to pray for the Bentons. It will NOT be a church service (there won’t be any childcare or an order of service)- just a gathering of Christians in Des Moines to pour out prayer for the Bentons. We believe prayer changes things.
For the glory of Jesus & the joy of Des Moines,
Cole
